First Aid Course for nannies and aupairs in London
Pediatric first aid course
Course location: Our offices are at Blackwell House on Guildhall Yard near Bank station, London (parking available at the weekend or check tfl.gov.uk for travel on the tube or other)
Course info:
The 1 day course is held on a monthly basis and is suitable for nannies and aupairs plus over 8’s childminders who wish to register with Ofsted. All child-carers should renew their paediatric first aid training at least every 3 years. This course covers all the necessary requirements for registration on the Ofsted Voluntary register which many Nannies and Aupairs are now opting to do so that their employers can get tax credits. Your employer may well be willing to pay for your first aid certificate so check in with them.
The OCR required syllabus covers such topics as:
– First Aid Priorities / Dealing with an Emergency
– Choking
– Resuscitation (CPR) – Child and Baby
– Anaphylaxis
– Bleeding and Shock
– Burns & Scalds
– Eye & Ear injuries
– Fractures
– Childhood illnesses including Meningitis and Febrile Convulsions
Those delegates who complete the course are awarded a certificate that is valid for three years.
Course fee is only £100+VAT
Course instructions:
• The Course is held in our offices. Please enquire what floor when booking.
• We have two slots: 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm (Please make sure you arrive approximately at least ten minutes early to make sure you don’t miss the start.)
• Lunch break when you can stay and network or go out and get food
• We will provide snacks and coffee/tea.
• Course participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and we kindly request that you do not wear lipstick as this can stain the training manikins.
• Please note that this event is non refundable so please try and make sure you are actually able to attend on the date you book.

Please note:
We need to receive payment upfront (or by installments in some cases) and we do not accept cancellations or give refunds. However if you cannot attend the date you booked then we will try and swap dates for you if we have space available.
Furthermore, note that we sometimes must change the training dates due to unforseen circumstances and you will then be issued a credit note for another date but we cannot issue refunds.
It can take up til 6 weeks to receive your First aid certificate but we try and get you the other certificates on the day of the training or after the assessment if there is one.
Prices:
MBA’s maternity courses: each module costs £160+ VAT but if you book all 4 of them in one go then you will get a 20% discount.
Core Skills for Ofsted: £160 plus VAT
MBA’s Baby Massage courses: £160 plus VAT or discounted with other bookings
MBA’s-Nanny courses: 1 day: £300 plus VAT
Au-pair induction: Accomodation: £250, no accomodation: £200 plus VAT
